It’s sophisticated, intelligent. "Phenomenal" is a powerful adjective that means truly amazing, or extraordinary, and usually in a very positive sense. "Sophisticated" means complicated, but in \ an intelligent or clever way. The band just denied 90% of the story; It’s a fabrication. "To deny" what somebody says is to claim it isn’t true.
