第七天：抓住基础 词句为先---核心词组篇之二（939字）

书接上回，文续前篇。今天仍然总结核心词组。先看一例：

原文：

The researchers studied the behavior of female brown capuchin monkeys. They look cute. They are good-natured, co-operative creatures, and they share their food readily. Above all, like their female human counterparts, they tend to pay much closer attention to the value of “goods and services than males.

问题：

• Female capuchin monkeys were chosen for the research most probably because they are

问题中的最高级most probably将我们引向原文的最高级Above all（原文黑体系本文作者所加）所在的句子。比较原文与选项，可以确定（A）为正确答案。上课时有的同学告诉我他们没选[A]，原因是inclined to（倾向于）不认识。be inclined to作为一个词组，与原文的tend to（倾向于）同义，因此[A]为正确答案。

上面的例子又一次证明熟悉核心词组的重要性。
